Why Financial Fitness?
As a Mortgage Broker in Canada I have spent the last several years helping people get themselves into debt. Occasionally, I have helped people get into a lot of debt. In the process of helping thousands of people obtain mortgages I have been exposed to the private financial lives of individuals from every walk of life. I have seen all their dirty ltitle secrets.
Unfortunately, I have noticed a disturbing trend -Most people have very little financial knowledge. They are the equivalent of financial weaklings. Sadly, this lack of financal muscle appears to aflict almost any career, age or education level. Financial flabiness does not discriminate.
Fortunately poor Financial Fitness is fixable. It simply takes discipline and time. Like most things worthwhile in life.
I launched this BLOG to begin recording my obeservations on money and dialogue about my experiences. I spend hours reading, researching and I interact with clients about money and debt on a daily basiis. I hope to pass on the best of what I find and learn from this experience.

Good for you.
I think it is unfortunate we have such a low the level of financial literacy. I think we have to get over the “taboo” mentality when it comes to talking about money. Money is one of the largest affects on our quality of life, is the cause of much stress, divorce, suicide, etc., yet many feel embaressed even discussing money. Hopefully more open dialogue will help overcome that.
